Meanwhile, former Congress National President and sitting Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi tweeted from his official Twitter handle that "Unlocking but corona virus is and will remain with us. In this case, keep following the safety rules and get the vaccine done as soon as possible. Unless everyone is safe, nobody is safe. Take care of yourself.".

Corona virus cases continue to decline in India. According to data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 60,461 daily new cases were registered in the country on Tuesday, the lowest since March 29. There have been 2,726 deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours. This is the eighth consecutive day that less than one lakh covid cases have been registered in India. 70,421 corona cases were registered in India on June 14.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in India is now 2,95,70,871. The active cases here have come down to below 10 lakhs. There are 9,13,378 active cases in the country at present and so far 3,77,031 deaths have been reported due to infection.
