According to media reports, Rahul started getting intoxicated due to this fear and became addicted to it. After this, Rahul's family members admitted him to Muktangan Drug Addiction Center. This liberation center not only gave Rahul a new life but also gave him a new identity in the society. Muktai Tangan's chief Mukta Tai asked there whether anyone wants to run in the 10 km marathon race in Pune, was it only Rahul who raised his hands. Rahul said that yes, he wants to run. Rahul said that he has been running away from the police for the last 10 years and the police have not been able to catch him yet, so he feels that he can run the fastest in this race.

For your information, let us tell you that after this Rahul prepared himself for the 10 km race and completed the race in 55 minutes. After some more such races, Rahul started getting a new identity and people came to know him as the 'Runner of Yerwada'. After this honor, Rahul decided to run 328 km and he again got respect from the people of his village Ratnagiri. Seeing this respect towards himself in the eyes of people, Rahul started to believe that it was only due to this race that he could bring back his lost honor to his family.
