Recently the hero of the original part of Aashiqui Rahul Roy open up on the third part of Aashiqui starring Karthik Aryan. The actors said,”The presentation might be innovative and exciting for today’s audience, and I have no doubt about it… It will be a huge struggle for Kartik to live up to.”

The actor further spoke about Kartik, and wished him the best for ‘continuing the greatfranchise’, “Kartik is a wonderful young actor. He has a history of picking the right films. I haven’t spoken with him yet, but I hope to do so soon… The box-office figures are also working in Kartik’s favour, so I wish him all the best in continuing the great franchise.”

Recently a report of surface on media according to which, south diva Rashmika Mandanna has beaten all the other hopefuls to become Kartik’s co-star in Aashiqui 3. Though there is no official announcement yet, a close source says that Rashmika has beaten the other actresses coveting the role to this project.

Speaking of Aashiqui (1990) backed by T-Series and Vishesh Films was helmed by Mahesh Bhatt. Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal played the lead roles. The franchise was revived in 2013 with Aashiqui 2. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film featured Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur.
