MANCHESTER: Lokesh Rahul, who started the innings, scored six out of 10 points for his performance against Pakistan, saying his performance would only improve after a patient half-century with the arch-rival team. Shikhar Dhawan was out of the team due to injury and Rahul got a chance to start the innings with Rohit Sharma. It was Rahul's first match against Pakistan.

Rahul made 57 runs in 78 balls and shared 136 for the first wicket with Rohit. "Shikhar and Rohit have become very dangerous pairs in the last three or four years. They have had partnerships all over the world, they have played so well for the country and are entitled to play in the first and second place.

"I have to wait for my chance and I am happy that I got a chance to bat in the top three. It was my first international match against Pakistan and it happened in the World Cup so I couldn't expect bigger or better. "Growing up as a young cricketer, you dream of doing it. I am very happy that I got the chance and I give myself six points out of 10. I hope I will further this confidence and become better.
