ahul Gandhi arrowed the Prime Minister Modi in Lok Sabha on Wednesday over many issues including Make in India, MGNREGA and GST bill. Which the Prime Minister replied very humbly at the same time hardly too in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. Here, are the highlights of the PM Narendra Modi’s speech:

  1. Grateful to president for highlighting on India’s progress in his speech. We must alwys take the President’s advice.
  2. House is a place where debates are to take place, but if boundaries are maintained during a debate then it is fruitful. This is not something I am saying, this has been said by former PM Rajiv Gandhi.
  3. I appeal to entire opposition in passage of important bills in both houses of parliament. Bills that are to be passed are for the people. They are for freeing the system from middlemen.
  4. I am saying all this because people must know that bills have been passed here but have been stopped there after.
  5. I want to share my thought, not as the PM but as someone who has entered Parliament for the first time.
  6. GST Bill is yours, now it is being stopped, PM said while looking at Congress leaders.
  7. Only women members should speak in Parliament on International Women’s day.
  8. Why can’t we have time set a side where only first time MPs can speak. This will bring a fresh perspective to proceedings.
  9. Parliament is not being allowed to function because of an inferiority complex. Opposition is not allowing some bright MPs speak in Parliament. MPs speak in Parliament. MPs of smaller parties don’t get opportunity to speak.
  10. We are mocking things like ‘Make in India’? This is for the nation. If there are short comings it may be shared and discussed.
  11. No one will deny that if Congress had helped the poor in 60 years, the poor wouldn’t still be facing trouble.
  12. If poverty had not been there, we would not have needed MGNREGA.
  13. Opposition is concerned that how government is doing better than it.
