New Delhi: If you travel by rail, then there is big news for you. Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has informed in Parliament on Friday that for the last nearly 22 months, no person has died in a railway accident. Piyush Goyal told the Rajya Sabha that the last time a passenger died in a railway accident was on March 22, 2019. That is, almost no one has died in the accident of the railway for the past 22 months.

Piyush Goyal told in the Rajya Sabha that in view of the safety of passengers, the new railway board has been created, now the director-general has also been replaced for security so that it can be focused on. Many accidents have occurred in the Indian Railways due to accidents, trains getting off the tracks, in which people have died. There has been a continuous effort from the Modi government to reduce these accidents.

The government claims that there should be unmanned gates, modernization of tracks, or some other issue. Efforts are being made to secure the railway. The train service was closed for a long time during the corona period. However, after removing the lockdown, trains have been opened gradually on some routes. But the train is still not running in a completely normal way.
