One of the most renowned singers in the entertainment industry Rihanna remained in news for different reasons. Rihanna grabbed all the limelight due to its powerful performance in spor at the Superbowl, America’s biggest sporting event. Rihanna earlier declined the offer to perform at the Super Bowl previously, however she opined that it was important that Black artists were getting the opportunity to represent the global urban community at such a high level.
The Super Bowl Halftime Show was headlined by Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. “It is powerful. It sends a really strong message,” Rihanna recently welcomed her son who is 9 month old now with ASAP Rocky in May 2022. Rihanna said, “Raising a young Black man is one of the scariest responsibilities in life. You’re like, ‘What am I leaving my kids to? This is the planet they’re gonna be living on?’ All of those things really start to hit differently.”
Rihanna also opens up on how motherhood has helps her. She said, “It’s this knowing that you can do anything, even things that seem the craziest, like, ‘I’m going to say yes to the Super Bowl in the middle of postpartum?’” she said. “But you’re geeked on a challenge like that because you know what your body just did. You feel this sense of ‘Nothing is impossible.’”
Rihanna recently confirmed the news of her second pregnancy. Rihanna’s gestures in the beginning of her super bowl performance seemed to confirm this too as she caressed her tummy before starting to sing. After the performance, the singer’s representative confirmed that she was indeed pregnant. The singer’s representative confirmed to them that she was expecting her second child but revealed no further details. Rihanna and Rocky are parents to a nine-month-old.
