Raj Kundra, a well-known businessman, and husband of legendary entertainment actress Shilpa Shetty was arrested by the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police for making obscene films. Raj is currently in judicial custody. He had challenged the arrest by Mumbai police as illegal. But raj has not got any relief from the High Court. The court has dismissed his plea.

The same Bombay High Court had on August 2 reserved the order on a petition filed by Mumbai police challenging the arrest. Justice AS Gadkari today pronounced the verdict. Justice AS Gadkari has said that the remand in custody by the Metropolitan Magistrate is in accordance with the law and there is no need for any interference.

The court had heard the arguments of the advocates of both Raj Kundra and Ryan Thorp on July 29 on their bail. Raj Kundra's advocate had said that he had been wrongly arrested while police said that Raj had refused to sign Section 41(A) of CrPC after which he was arrested. Shilpa Shetty had approached the high court over media coverage over the Raj Kundra case. On which the High Court had told Shilpa a real lie. The high court told Shilpa Shetty's advocate that there is a serious case against the husband of your client.
