Jaipur: A staggering case has come to light from Rajasthan amid increasing cases of conversion in the country. In Alwar district of the state, the parents have been accused of converting their son and daughter-in-law. The victim couple Sonu and his wife Rajni have given a complaint to the police in this matter on Wednesday (October 19). Giving a complaint, both of them told the police that Sonu's parents broke the idols kept in the house and tore the posters of the deities. Those people are constantly pressurizing them to convert to Christianity.

According to media reports, the victim couple has filed a complaint against the parents at the Alwar police station in Rajasthan. It is also being said that the couple had sought help from members of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) to file the complaint. At present, the police have registered an FIR and started investigation. Sonu said in the complaint that some members of the family, including his parents, have converted to Christianity and are also forcing them to convert. Sonu said, 'When we worship gods and goddesses, my parents oppose it. Even when we light a lamp in the house or incense sticks while praying, the parents oppose. They have also broken the idols of the deities kept in the house and torn the posters of our deities. They harass us, beat us up and force us to become Christians.'

Sonu further said that he and his wife want to be a part of Hinduism forever and have no desire to become Christian. He has said that 'Our family members think that Hindu customs and traditions are useless and that becoming a Christian will bring real happiness.' Sonu has told in the complaint given to the police that his family has been following the customs of the Christian religion for the last two years. For the past few days, he is being continuously harassed for conversion. He has also sought protection from the police. While registering the complaint, the Superintendent of Police assured the disappointed couple of appropriate action.
