Pehlu Khan Case: CM Gehlot Orders Inquiry, Mayawati targeted State Government

Jaipur: Rajasthan government convenes a crucial meeting after the lower court verdict in Pehlu Khan murder case. In the meeting, CM Ashok Gehlot ordered an inquiry with an appeal in the High Court. After the order of CM Ashok Gehlot, an inquiry will be conducted to see if there was any deliberate attempt to influence the investigation. Whether the case has been investigated correctly.

Meanwhile, BSP President Mayawati attacked the Gehlot government. Mayawati tweeted, "All the six accused in the much-discussed Khan Mab Lynching case were acquitted from the trial court due to gross negligence and inaction of the Rajasthan Congress government. It's unfortunate. If the government were alert to bring justice to the victim's family, it was possible, perhaps never.

All the accused were acquitted from the court in the Pehlu Khan murder case in Rajasthan. The district court in Alwar has acquitted the accused on the grounds of lack of evidence.  The victim's lawyer Yogendra Singh Khatana had also indicated that after getting a copy of the verdict, he would study it and challenge the verdict in the upper court. A total of 9 accused were in the Pehlu Khan case. Of these, 3 accused were minors. On Wednesday, the court had convicted six accused in the case, giving them the benefit of doubt.
