Hyderabad: Rajasthan's Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, conveyed strong optimism on Tuesday, asserting that the Congress party would secure victories in all five states, buoyed by its robust social commitments.

"Congress is poised for triumph across the board. The assurances presented by the Telangana Congress hold greater appeal than those in Rajasthan. 'Make promises and fulfill them' resonates as the mantra championed by our President, Mallikarjun Kharge, and the Congress party. Once in power, we intend to augment Telangana's guarantees after meticulously assessing those established in various states like Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh," articulated CM Gehlot during a press briefing in Hyderabad.

He criticized the lack of effective governance in Telangana, contending that had Congress assumed power in the state, significant progress would have been realized. Gehlot accused BRS and BJP of working in unison, stating, "They operate as one entity, collaborating closely."

Furthermore, Gehlot underscored Rajasthan's distinction as the lone state to enact stringent legislation to combat paper leaks. "Over the last nine years, paper leaks have plagued the nation in various states such as Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Gujarat. Rajasthan stands apart as the sole state to introduce stringent laws addressing paper leaks, enacting severe penalties including life imprisonment. We have taken decisive action against instances of paper leaks," Gehlot highlighted.

In a scathing accusation against the BJP, Gehlot condemned their propensity for orchestrating political upheavals through unethical means. "The BJP is adept at horse-trading; they orchestrated the downfall of governments in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh through such underhanded dealings."

Expressing concern over the declining credibility of investigative agencies like the CBI, ED, and IT, Gehlot cautioned against their misuse for political gains and governmental destabilization. "These agencies hold a national interest mandate to combat economic offenses. Their misuse for political purposes must be curtailed," Gehlot emphasized.

The impending Assembly elections in Telangana are scheduled to be held in a single phase on November 30, with the campaign concluding today.
