Bhopal: The Shivraj government of Madhya Pradesh has drafted a law for love jihad. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is also going to bring a law on this issue soon. There is a demand for legislation on it in many other states. Meanwhile, in the Congress government of Rajasthan, CM Gehlot has attacked the BJP over Love Jihad.

Gehlot says that the BJP is trying to spoil the communal harmony in the country. Rajasthan BJP unit president Satish Poonia retorted that this statement is very embarrassing. Ashok Gehlot tweeted on Friday, 'Love Jihad is a term coined by the BJP to divide the country and disturb communal harmony. Marriage is a matter of personal liberty, bringing a law to curb it is completely unconstitutional and this law will not survive in any court. Jihad has no place in love.

Gehlot said that marriage is a personal decision and BJP is putting a check on it. He said, 'They are creating an environment in the nation, where people who give mutual consent will be subject to the mercy and power of the state. Marriage is a personal decision and they are curbing it, which is like snatching personal freedom. '
