Jaipur: Rajasthan is continuously recording a decline in the number of new corona patients. However, the lockdown in the province can be extended till May 31. According to the information received, the Gehlot government has agreed to extend the lockdown till May 31 and the Home Department has also prepared guidelines for the same. Cm Ashok Gehlot had also convened a virtual cabinet meeting at 12.30 pm today to increase lockdown and start unlocking from June 1.

In Rajasthan, cases of mucomyosis, the black fungus, are on the rise, after which the government has directed vigilance. Total 700 cases of black fungus have been registered in Rajasthan so far. Late on Friday evening, Health Minister Raghu Sharma conducted a door-to-door survey and directed to identify black fungus patients. Today's cabinet meeting also discussed the restrictions on covid management and lockdown, as well as the new strategy on black fungus.

In Rajasthan, at least 6,225 new corona cases have been registered on Friday after 35 days, while 129 people have lost their lives. However, after Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan became the 10th state in the country where the number of entire infected people crossed 9 lakh. On the other hand, black fungus cases in the state have crossed 700, after which the Gehlot government has declared it an epidemic. The government has set some protocols and rates for private hospitals for its treatment.
