According to the information received from the sources, an official of the Excise Department said that instead of 25 percent, the excise duty has been increased from 35 percent to 45 percent instead of 35 percent on foreign liquor made in India below 900 rupees. He said that in the same way excise duty on beer has also been increased by 10 percent. In the state, 45 percent excise duty will be charged instead of 35 percent on beer.
