Jaipur: A group of Muslims have lodged an FIR against Congress general secretary Yogesh Mishra for making provocative speeches in connection with the demolition of a 300-year-old temple in Alwar, Rajasthan. The name of the complainant has been mentioned as Sahun. The complaint says that Congress is behind the demolition of the temple in Alwar and it has nothing to do with Muslims. The charge also said that Congress leader Mishra was aware of the developments and had visited the temple. The complaint has termed the demolition of the temple as a conspiracy by Congress to escalate communal tension.

Speaking to the media, a Muslim youth said, "Congress is solely responsible for the demolition of the temple in Rajgarh. A Congress MLA is behind this. We Muslims have nothing to do with this matter.'' This is the action of the administrative officers of the Congress Government. Meanwhile, another Muslim youth said, "Alwar has been known for peace and brotherhood since the beginning. There has never been a riot here. They (Congress) are upset as to why such a riot is not happening here. How will they get political benefits without riots? They don't need anyone. That's why it's all being done.''

The complainant Sahun himself was earlier a Congress worker himself. He resigned from the party after the demolition of a temple in Rajgarh. Sahun said, "Congress general secretary Yogesh Mishra has made an unconstitutional statement. Through his statement, he has done the work of instigating the people. He said that if you remove two pebbles from the mosque, you will find out. If there is a dispute over a religious place after that, who will be responsible for it?'

On Sahun's complaint, the Sadar police station in charge of Alwar said, "The complaint received will be investigated. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation. The video of Yogesh Mishra's controversial statement had gone viral on social media.'' In that video, after his statement, the remaining workers of the Congress party were seen trying to snatch his mike. Congress leader Yogesh Mishra has expressed grief over his statement as the protests escalate. Releasing a video on his Facebook page, he said, "I am a Hindu born in a Brahmin clan and I can't tolerate attacks on my religion. Yet if my words have hurt anyone, I express sorrow over him. At the same time, Mishra has blamed the BJP for demolishing the temple.''
