Rajasthan Retired RAS Officer Arrested For Taking Bribe of Five Lakh

Jaipur: A retired RAS officer has been arrested in Barmer, taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakh in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Along with the RAS officer, broker Nazir Ali has also been arrested. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) carried out a major action on Saturday, bribing Rs 5 lakh through broker Nazir Khan in the land allotted to the ex-servicemen and Pong migrants to the Additional Commissioner of Colonization Department (Appeals) Bikaner Premaram Parmar Retired RAS arrested while acquiring.

At present, the search operation is proceeding further here. RAS Premaram Parmar retired as Additional Commissioner from the Colonization Department on 31 October. Cash of Rs 8 lakh has been recovered from Premaram's residence in Jaipur. Documents of cash of Rs 7.72 lakh, jewelery worth Rs 15 lakh, agricultural land in Jalore were recovered from Jodhpur residence.

The shares of L&T company, flat worth Rs 65 lakh and valuable items worth more than Rs 30 lakh have also been recovered in the name of brother-in-law. A large number of foreign and expensive liquor bottles have been found during the search in Jodhpur residence. A case has also been registered against Premaram under the Excise Act at the Boranada police station.
