New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals pacer Pankaj Singh has bid farewell to cricket. The 36-year-old bowler has played two Tests and one ODI for Team India. Pankaj Singh last played cricket for India in 2014. The bowler, led by MS Dhoni on the tour of England, took two wickets in two Tests. The tall UP bowler played the only ODI against Sri Lanka in Harare in 2010. He could not take any wickets in this match.

The early version of Pankaj Singh IPL was part of the Rajasthan Royals in 2008. The bowler took 11 wickets in 17 matches for Rajasthan. Pankaj Singh may not have succeeded in international cricket, but he has been a very successful bowler in domestic cricket. Singh has taken 472 wickets in 117 first-class matches. He has 118 wickets in 79 list matches and 43 wickets in 57 T20Is. Singh has taken 633 wickets in 253 matches in his cricket career.

In Ranji's history, only 11 bowlers have managed to take more than 400 wickets. These include only two fast bowlers. Pankaj Singh has taken 409 wickets in Ranji cricket. With him, R Vinay Kumar has taken 412 wickets. Pankaj Singh is originally from Sultanpur, UP, but played domestic cricket for Rajasthan. Made his debut for Rajasthan in 2004 and continued to play for it till 2018. In 2019, he played his last Ranji match for Puducherry.
