Etawah: Four passengers were killed on Monday morning in the state's etawah in the grip of the Rajdhani Express. The incident took place at Balrai station. Six people were seriously injured, who have been admitted to Saifai hospital. The four deceased were residents of Kaushambi and were leaving Surat. They were sitting on the track because of the heat when the train stopped.

According to the information received from the sources, the Awadh Express from Muzaffarpur to Mumbai had arrived at Balrai station at around 6 am, according to the railways. In the meantime, the train was stopped at the Loop line to pass the Rajdhani Express going to Delhi on behalf of Kanpur. The passengers of Avadh Express were sitting on the railway track to escape the heat. That's when the Rajdhani Express passed and many passengers were reeling.

At the same, the incident killed Jitu (20), Pintu (21), Surendra Kumar (21), Lalchandra (20) of Kaushambi district. All these people were relatives and had climbed from Kanpur to the train. The Rajdhani Express was parked at the station for about ten minutes after the incident.
