New Delhi: AAP's clout in the national capital Delhi continues. The Aam Aadmi Party has won the by-election to Rajendra Nagar assembly seat by a margin of more than 11 thousand votes. AAP candidate Durgesh Pathak has won by a margin of 11555 votes. Raghav Chadha, who was an MLA from the Rajendra Nagar assembly seat, had resigned from the membership of the assembly after being elected to the Rajya Sabha. In the by-election to the seat vacated by the resignation of Raghav Chadha, AAP has scored a hat-trick of victories. Earlier, the counting of votes began at 8 am.

Aam Aadmi Party candidate has taken a lead by 5024 votes in the seventh round of counting of votes. AAP got 17491 votes, BJP got 12467 votes and Congress got 684 votes. AAP candidate Durgesh Pathak led by 2978 votes in the 6th round of counting. AAP got 14080 votes, BJP got 11102 votes and Congress got 586 votes. AAP candidate Durgesh Pathak led by 1153 votes in the 5th round of counting. Durgesh of AAP got 11170 votes, BJP's Rajesh Bhatia got 10017 votes and Congress' Prem Lata got 438 votes.

The lead of AAP candidate Durgesh Pathak is decreasing. Durgesh Pathak is currently leading by 1396 votes. So far, the AAP candidate has got 9494 votes, BJP's Rajesh Bhatia got 8098 votes and Congress' Prem Lata got 369 votes. In the third round, the BJP got 145 votes more than the AAP. However, AAP candidate Durgesh Pathak is still leading by 2120 votes over the BJP candidate.
