New Delhi: The entire country is currently facing a second wave of corona infection. More than 4 lakh cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope has expressed apprehension that the third wave of corona may also occur between August and September. He made the claim on the basis of interaction with experts of the task force constituted by the state government.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had also held a meeting on the situation in corona on Thursday. In the meeting, he had asked them to be prepared for the third wave. In Maharashtra, daily infections are showing a decline. In such a situation, the idea of a new wave is a matter of concern. Talking to reporters on Thursday, Rajesh Tope had said that given the declining numbers, it is expected that the corona graph will be flat by May. But experts are of the opinion that the corona virus could hit back once again in July-August. The government is trying to make elaborate arrangements to deal with the situation in the state before that.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pendenkar has warned the public not to rush to vaccination centres. He said that if these centres are built, they are for vaccines, but due to the unruly crowd, these hideouts can also become superspreader points. Due to this threat, it has now been announced to stop the walk-in vaccination facility directly without registration.
