Rajinikanth needs no introduction. He is one of the popular actors also known as Megastar in the South Industry. He has also worked in some major hit Bollywood films. As he is the megastar various people use his voice, face and image for commercial purposes.

As per the information now Rajinikanth’s advocate S. Elambharathi has issued a public notice on Saturday. He warned these people of civil and criminal action against them for illegally using the personality rights of his client through unauthorized use of the actor’s name, image, voice or any other distinctive elements uniquely associated with him.

The notice stated that Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, alias Rajinikanth, was one of the most celebrated and therefore it contains the warning for not using his name. He wrote, “His charisma and nature as an actor and a human being has earned him the title ‘Superstar’ called upon by millions of his fans worldwide. The sheer proportion of his fan base and his respect across the film industry is unmatched and indisputable. Any damage to his reputation or personal would entail a great loss to our client,”.

This notice came after various manufacturers were misappropriating the actor’s name, voice, image, photograph, caricature image and computer-generated images to entice people to purchase their products.  The letter states Mr. Rajinikanth alone has the right to commercial utilisation of his personality, name, voice, image and other characteristics associated with him, the notice said no one else could exploit them commercially in any manner whatsoever without his consent or express authorisation.

On the work front, Rajinikanth has done various major hit films like 'Meri Adalat', 'Jaan Johnny Janardan', 'Bhagwan Dada', 'Dosti Dushmani', 'Insaf Kaun Karega', 'Asli Nakali', 'Hum', 'Khoon Ka Karz', 'Krantikari', Made a special place with Hindi films like 'Andha Kanoon', 'Chaalbaaz', 'Insaniyat Ka Devta'.
