Rajiv Kapoor was born on August 25, 1962, in Mumbai. He died on February 9, 2021. Rajiv Kapoor was an actor who did not get work for three decades i.e. 30 years. Yes and after that, when he came in front of the camera after a long time, he was nervous. Rajiv started his acting career with the film 'Ek Jaan Hai Hum.' However, Rajiv Kapoor became famous with the film Ram Teri Ganga Maili and after this film, he got the most recognition. However, this was the film that also caused dissension in the Kapoor family. It is said that in the year 1985, Raj Kapoor made the film 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili'.

The film proved to be a super hit but it did not benefit Rajiv Kapoor. In fact, this film is known only for Raj Kapoor's direction and its heroine Mandakini. You may remember that Mandakini's role in the film was so strong that Rajiv got lost in the film. At the same time, Rajiv Kapoor believed that Raj Kapoor is responsible for this.

In fact, Rajiv Kapoor wanted Raj Kapoor to make another film for him after 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili' and he should project him as a hero in that film so that the benefit of being a star was now available to Mandakini in this film. However, Raj Kapoor refused to make any more films for Rajiv. After 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili', Rajiv worked in films like 'Lover Boy', 'Angare', 'Jaljala', 'Shukriya', 'Hum To Chale Pardes' but his films could not work well. It is said that Rajiv was so hurt by his father's behaviour that when Raj Kapoor died, Rajiv Kapoor did not even go to his funeral.
