Actor Shah Rukh Khan has been away from films since the failure of the film Zero and he is not working on any project. But according to a report in the Deccan Chronicle, some interesting scripts have been locked up by Shah Rukh, including a film by Rajkumar Hirani. While Rajkumar Hirani has worked with Aamir Khan in two big films, The same Shahrukh and Hirani have not worked together even once.

According to the report, actor Shah Rukh has liked Hirani's idea and is being told that with the film he is hoping to finish his quest for a hit. Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor had also worked with Rajkumar Hirani in Sanju and the film was able to earn over Rs 300 crore at the box office and Ranbir got a new identity.

Rajkumar Hirani wanted to cast Shah Rukh Khan as the lead role in the film "Munnabhai MBBS" in 2003 and he wanted to see Vivek Oberoi as a circuit in the film. There was also a report that Hirani wanted to make Shah Rukh Munna Bhai and Sanjay Dutt in the circuit role, though Shah Rukh refused to work in the film. Actor Shah Rukh said, "I think every actor is destined to write a few films and I think I can't play this role as well as the brilliant way Sanju has worked in this film.
