Kochi: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Friday that India's maritime routes and shores cannot be ruled out by terrorists from neighbouring countries for terrorist attacks, but we are committed to coastal and maritime defence. In a program organized to commemorate the 66th birthday of Mata Amritanandamayi Devi in Kollam, Kerala, Singh said that India would not let anyone stay in peace, which would try to ruin the peace of the country.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was referring to the attack by the Air Force targeting the terrorists in Balakot after the Pulwama attack. He has said that "we cannot deny that terrorists from our neighbouring countries can carry out major attacks on our shores which extends from Kutch to Kerala. As a Defense Minister, I want to assure that the maritime defence of our country is absolutely strong". Rajnath Singh said that we are fully committed to coastal and maritime defense.

Regarding the Pulwama attack, he has said that "no citizen of our country can forget the sacrifice made by our soldiers". Singh said that "you know that a few days after the Pulwama attack, our Air Force carried out attacks in Balakot, Pakistan. We do not bother anyone, but if no one bothers us, we will not let them sit in peace. ''
