Jaipur: Aarti Gautam's election petition was heard today in Jodhpur, the main bench of Rajasthan High Court. After hearing, the court of Justice Vineet Kumar Mathur of High Court has sent a summon to Sardarpura MLA of Jodhpur district and CM Ashok Gehlot of the state, State Election and Sardarpura Election Officer.

The court, while issuing a summon, has ordered to present the reply in writing on 27 September for the stabilization of the diversities. The court has asked to send this summon by ordinary post and register post. This summons was issued by the court of Justice Vineet Mathur while hearing the petition of Aarti Gautam challenging the election of Sardarpura MLA and state CM Ashok Gehlot.

The petitioner had filed nomination for election from Sardarpura assembly seat. PC Jain, counsel for the petitioner, told the court that the returning officer wrongly rejected the nomination letter of the petitioner. Along with this, the petitioner has alleged that Congress candidate Ashok Gehlot from Sardarpura constituency won the election by luring in the manifesto. In such a situation, the demand for cancellation of the election of winning candidate from the Sardarpura assembly constituency and the state CM Ashok Gehlot has been made through the petition.
