Yes, in a recent conversation with a website, Rakesh Roshan told that, "The information about Rishi Kapoor's death was given to him by Ranbir Kapoor." During this, Rakesh Roshan said that, telling the whole incident, " One of his friends asked him about Rishi Kapoor's health. Then he called Randhir Kapoor, but could not connect. Then he called Ranbir Kapoor. Then Ranbir informed him about the father's demise on phone. Rakesh was shocked after hearing the death of Rishi. After this, he started crying. He further said," It was so shocking that I started crying on the phone. Instead of me consoling him, Ranbir comforted me. He has been a pillar of strength to his father.”
