In fact, the leaders of the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) had decided in a meeting recently that on January 31, Betrayal Day would be celebrated across the country and large protests would be organized at the district and tehsil level. In these demonstrations, a memorandum will also be submitted in the name of the central government. The leaders of SKM allege that the Government of India had promised to constitute a committee on the issue of MSP to withdraw the movement. Along with this, promises were made to immediately withdraw the cases taken during the movement and give compensation to the martyr families. None of these promises have yet been fulfilled.

Let us inform that in the month of November 2020, the farmers' movement started on the borders of Delhi against the three agricultural laws passed by the Central Government. During this several rounds of talks were also held between the government and farmers' organizations, but no solution was found. After which on November 19 last year, PM Modi talked about withdrawing all three laws. However, even after this the farmers were not ready to end the movement.
