'People consider him a saint,' Rakesh Tikait's controversial statement on Khalistani terrorist Bhindranwale

Lucknow: The work of baking political dough on the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh is continuing. In the same vein, Indian Farmers Union leader Rakesh Tikait has made a statement on Khalistani terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Talking to the media, Rakesh Tikait Leader has claimed that there are some who consider Bhindranwale as a 'saint.'

In a short clip being shared fiercely on social media, a journalist from Tikait had questioned the support of terrorists by farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri in UP. Replying to this, Rakesh Tikait said, 'A child was seen wearing a T-shirt with someone's picture.' When another journalist told Tikait that the picture was of terrorist Bhindrawale, Tikait said, "Some people consider Bhindrawale to be a saint, while the government considers him a terrorist.''

 

A video of Rakesh Tikait's press conference is available on YouTube. He is also seen threatening the government. Looking at the 7 minutes 26 seconds to 7 minutes 40 seconds of this 9:18 second video, it is clear that Rakesh Tikait is seen calling Khalistani terrorist Bhindranwale a saint. Rakesh Tikait was holding a press conference on the second post mortem report of the farmer's death.
