New Delhi: Farmers' agitation against agricultural laws brought by the Centre is once again gaining momentum. Kisan Sansad is functioning at Jantar Mantar. Where further strategies are being formulated. Amidst all this, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait is also constantly visiting various States. Amidst all this, Rakesh Tikait has once again warned the Modi government about his intention.
Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said he was not planning to contest as the sole objective of the front was to oust the BJP from power so that the new government could scrap three controversial agricultural laws enacted by the Modi government. "We are at war with the ruling BJP and not a single farmer in the country will vote for this party in the future. Our simple strategy is to support those who are capable of defeating the BJP. We did it in Bengal also and in 2022 we will repeat it in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand," the farmer leaders said.
Talking to the media, Bhakiu spokesperson Rakesh Tikait said, "PM Narendra Modi claims that there is nothing anti-farmer in the three agricultural laws. This is a big lie of the PM. One of the three laws says that farmers will have to buy manure, seeds, pesticides, equipment, etc. It also said that farmers will have to enter into agreements with banks to take loans to buy these items. The intention is that farmers mortgage their properties and take loans.
