In a recent interview, as celebs are constantly playing around, experimenting with different and new diets only so that we can get the dreamy body that we desire. But one thing that most of us have unanimously given up is white rice. Whether it's enjoying traditional dal chawal or biryani, with the myths attached to white rice, it's the one food item that we give up without thinking twice. Apart from rice, another thing we instantly give up is ghee. Assuming that it contains a lot of calories, we conveniently ditch ghee and rice for other substitutes that may not have as much nutrition as ghee and rice.

Breaking the myth is Rakul Preet Singh. The stunner took to her Instagram handle to share of a picture of herself indulging in ghee rice and telling her fans to add white rice to their diet. Writing about the benefits, Rakul adds, "The biggest myth that WHITE RICE is UNHEALTHY.. well guess what it’s not @rashichowdhary recommends I eat some white rice at lunch to get some good clean carbsAdd a Tbsp of ghee into it and you’ll have a better control over your blood sugar levels! It will not spike your insulin when you add ghee and will keep you fuller for longer."

A small bowl of white rice contains around 200 calories and a teaspoon of ghee contains approximately 135 calories that are considered a healthy way to meet your calorie target for the day. On the work front, Rakul will next be seen in De De Pyaar De along with Ajay Devgn and Tabu. The plot of the film revolves around a 50-year-old man who falls in love with a much younger girl and how their love story progresses along with his ex-wife and children.
