New Delhi: Ram devotees living abroad can get the good news soon. For the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) has been applied by the Trust. After getting its approval, people living abroad will also be able to donate for the construction of Ram temple. It was being demanded since the formation of the trust.
There is a competition to provide financial assistance among the devotees settled abroad for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Sriram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust has now filed an application with the Ministry of Home Affairs to seek permission under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) to receive donations from foreign countries in the office.
On getting this permission, millions of Indians living abroad will also be able to donate to the Ram temple. Since the groundbreaking ceremony in Ayodhya, the process of giving donations for the construction of the temple has intensified. The people who donate now are sending donations through cheques, money order, online transfer, cash, jewellery, silver bricks etc. According to sources more than Rs 70 crore has been deposited in the account of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust for the Ram temple.
