New Delhi: To prevent the rising outbreak of Coronavirus in the country, the government has fixed the price of sanitizer and face mask. Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan has given information in this regard by tweeting on Friday. He has told that since the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19), the market has seen a huge increase in the prices of various face masks, materials used in its manufacture and hand sanitizer, so the government took it seriously. The prices have been fixed.

The central government has fixed the prices of two and three-ply surgical face masks and hand sanitizers. Paswan has stated, "Under the Essential Commodities Act, the price of fabric used in 2 and 3 ply masks will remain the same as on 12 February 2020. The retail price of 2 ply masks is Rs. 8 / mask and 3 ply mask cost not exceed till Rs 10/ mask. "

Will virus not recur if vaccine is injected once?

The Union Minister said, "The retail price of 200 mL bottle of hand sanitizer will not exceed Rs 100. The price of other size bottles will also remain in the same proportion. These prices will be applicable throughout the country till June 30, 2020."
