New Delhi: In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Modi government was on the target of the Congress-led opposition regarding the Rafale fighter jet deal. However, the matter later cooled down after cleaning up the French company Dassault and the President of France, including the top court. However, now it seems that the issue of corruption is once again gaining momentum in the Rafale deal in 2016-17.

In fact, it has been claimed in France that Dassault, the French company that manufactured Rafale, had given one million euros 'as a gift' to a middleman in India. After this disclosure by the French media, questions are again being raised about the Rafael Deal. French media part has claimed in a report that in 2016, when the Indo-French agreement was signed on Rafale, Dassault gave this amount to a middleman in India. In 2017, 5,08,925 euros were transferred from Dassault Group's bank account as a 'gift to clients'.

In this whole matter, the Congress is once again engaged in preparations to surround the Narendra Modi government of the Center in the Rafale case. In this connection, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala held a press conference on the Rafale deal on Monday. He said, "Today we are in front of you on the issue of serious matter related to national security. Truth has been revealed in the case related to the 60 thousand crore rupees Rafale deal. This is not saying that we are an agency of France. A saga of commissioned intermediary is in front of you. An announcement was made to buy Rafale worth 60000 crores, no tender nor any information as to how bananas buy apples were talked about.
