Random screening of corona will start at Delhi alighting points from today

Amid the rising cases of corona all over the country, every state is issuing various orders and restriction guidelines. Recently, Maharashtra had a talk about complete lockdown in the state whereas Gujarat has also issued guidelines for 4 districts. In Delhi, authorities have decided to conduct random corona screening of passengers. 

Passengers arriving in Delhi from different areas of India will be tested randomly and mandatorily quarantined for 10 days if found positive. The order regarding corona screening at alighting points of Delhi is passed by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority. The Delhi Airport, all railway stations, ISBT, and other points in the national capital will have to follow the orders and corona protocols respectively. The order reads that after collection of samples, the travelers would be allowed to exit, but the passengers found positive will have to quarantine either at home or at a designated hospital for 10 days. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority also said that " it is reviewed and observed that perceptible increase in COVID-19 cases and positivity rate reported from some states. So, random testing will be conducted on arriving passengers from states in Delhi as a concern."

Talking about the covid-19 update in the national capital has surged. The city had recorded 1,881 new cases which are the highest since December 15. The good news that has come is with fewer tests conducted on the occasion of Holi, Delhi reported less than 1000 cases of the coronavirus disease on 30 March.
