The colourful festival of Rang Panchami of malwa rejuvenates the era of the Holkar’s, when a big amount of people (residents of Indore) gather at the royal palace of Indore, Rajwada, splashing different colours on each other to show their affection and happiness.

The 5-day long fest of Holi comes to an end on Rang Panchami. While the grand celebration at Rajwada is a must watch, where 3 Gairs and 1 Faag Yatra is the essence of the day. Gair includes a bunch of peoples dancing and playing Holi with a tanker full of watercolours which they splash on the nearby audience to wish them prosperity. Hind Rakshak Faag Yatra sprays only gulal with water.

Music, colours and water flow in the air, charms everyone in the preview. Indoreans celebrate Rang Panchami with much more enthusiasm than Holi.

Water cannons get installed on the vehicles splashing colours at an elevation of 150 feet. To welcome the Gairs, various stages are set, where people have a glass full of bhang. The Gairs passes through Telibakhal, Malharganj, Dhanmandi, Tori Corner, Gora Kund, Rajwada, Veer Savarkar market, Sarafa, Itawaria Bazaar, Loharpati and comes to an end at Kailash Marg. Being the festival of malwa Rang Panchami is celebrated with full enthusiasm in all over the cities.
