India is the land of customs and we celebrate the different festivals in different ways. Dussehra denotes the last day of Navratri. Bengali women also engage in Sindoor Khela during the last day of the festival. The ritual, which is believed to be as old as the ritual of Durga Puja itself, is played by married women. They smear the faces of each other with vermillion and welcome Durga Maa for next year and a way to pay to bid farewell to Durga Maa.

The bollywood Bengali divas Kajol, Ram, Rani Mukherji, and Tanisha Mukerji celebrated the occasion and cheered themselves into a festive mood as they got busy celebrating the Durga Puja festival. On Wednesday (October 5), the Mukerji sisters along with cousins Sharbani Mukerji and Akanksha Malhotra played sindoor (vermilion) khela. 

The actresses looks beautiful in traditional Bengali sarees with sindoor on their faces. The Bengali celebrates Sindoor Khela on the last day of the Durga Puja festival. On this day, the married women of the Bengali community play sindoor khela by applying vermilion on each other as they bid goodbye to Goddess Durga and further pray for her to come again next year.

Speaking about their looks, Rani Mukerji looked stunning in a proper Bengali saree with red borders. She played sindoor khela with her family members and distributed sweets to paps present at the venue. She also waved and greeted paps with a Namaste gesture. They posed for the cameras post their sindoor khela as they bid farewell

Kajol too looked gorgeous in a white saree with red patchwork on the pallu. She was also seen playing sindoor khela. Tanishaa, on the other hand, complemented her sisters in a similar traditional saree. 
The puja pandal in North Bombay is graced by the stars such as Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy and Jaya Bachchan. Ayan Mukerji, Kajol and Rani’s cousin also was spotted enjoying Durga Puja with his family. Bengali women also engage in Sindoor Khela during the last day of the festival.
