The 2018 Melbourne Film Festival will be held in August. This time Rani Mukherjee will be called as Chief guest at the ceremony. According to the custom, the guest who gets the guest gets the opportunity to hoist the tricolour.
Along with that, Rani Mukherjee has been named in the IFFM Award Best Actress category. Talking about this, the Rani said, "It is a matter of honour for me to flag the flag of India. This is a matter of pride for any Indian. If this opportunity is available to anyone outside the country then happiness is doubled."
Rani further said that "I am very excited that I was selected for this work. I am very keen to be part of this festival right now. I am very honoured by this gesture. The Rani will hoist the tricolour in the presence of thousands of Australian and Indian citizens.
The ceremony will be organized on 11th August. During this time, the Rani will also be accompanied by High Commissioner of India and Australian Mayor of Melbourne. Rani's last film, Hichki received a lot of good response from the audience. Her performance was also appreciated. The film was directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra.
