In the film, Rani plays a school teacher who changes the lives of students coming from economically backward classes, while she herself suffers from Tourette syndrome, where some of the person's physical gestures are different from normal ones. Manish Sharma, creator of 'Hitchki', said in a recent statement that, "Hitchhike is a classic underdog story, which engages with audiences around the world and has a universal story that touches the heart as well as being inspiring."
