'Gully Boy' wins 'Best Feature Film' title at Asian Academy Creative Award

Gully Boy has become a cult classic of the year 2019 and has garnered much accolades throughout the year. Now Gully Boy, directed by Zoya Akhtar, has been awarded the 'Best Feature Film' at the Asian Academy Creative Awards. The film also received a nomination for the 92nd Oscar Academy Awards. Gully Boy is a story inspired by the slum rappers of Dharavi, who have won a lot of applause, attracting everyone's attention.

The film was screened at the Berlin Film Festival where it won hearts with countless accolades. In addition, it has also won the 'Best Film' award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and will soon be released in Japan. The film's fresh chemistry with the lead pair has been well received, with Ranveer Singh playing the role of a street rapper, besides Alia Bhatt playing his girlfriend. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Kalki Kekalan have also played important roles in the film.

 

 

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Tiger Baby. Gully Boy was released in India on 14 February 2019. It is being told that on one hand, while Gully Boy has won the Best Feature Film award, on the other hand, Netflix's web series 'Delhi Crime' has got the title of Best Drama Series.
