Lucknow: Gayatri Prajapati, the Samajwadi Party leader and a former minister were arrested for his involvement in a case of sexual assault of a minor girl was yesterday granted the bail by a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) court.

Today he will walk out of the district jail. Along with him, two associates of Prajapati are also given the bail.The court asked them to furnish two sureties of Rupees one lakh each and a personal bond of the same amount as a condition of bail.

On 15 march Prajapati was arrested from the Aashiyana area in Lucknow by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF).
