The 80th Golden Globes Awards are announced and it is a pride moment of India as Telugu title RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli won the Best Song award for Naatu Naatu. The Team of RRR is receiving praises from Bollywood and South Celebrities to Politicians. Bollywood Singer Adnan Sami slammed Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Telugu Flag remark.

Now Minister Andhra Pradesh’s minister Rajini Vidadala slammed Adnan Sami for his tweet. She wrote, “ Taking pride in one's own identity doesn't allay their patriotism. Respecting one's origin doesn't convey separatism. Let's not confuse both. Rather than overthinking on Twitter, maybe you should work towards getting India another GoldenGlobeAdnansami”

Adnan Sami was quick to give her reply. As he wrote, "Whilst exhibiting pride of Origin, it is not beneath the dignity of a senior statesman such as a Chief Minister to share the pride of this achievement with his Nation INDIA which this State comes under & in the name of which this Telugu film is being recognised abroad!"

This all started with Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took to the social media to congratulate the team. He wrote, “The #Telugu flag is flying high! On behalf of all of #AndhraPradesh, I congratulate @mmkeeravaani,  @ssrajamouli, @tarak9999, @AlwaysRamCharan and the entire team of @RRRMovie. We are incredibly proud of you! #GoldenGlobes2023.”

Adnan Sami expressed his disappointment from the tweet. He wrote, “Telugu flag? You mean INDIAN flag right? We are Indians first & so kindly stop separating yourself from the rest of the country…Especially internationally, we are one country! This ‘separatist’ attitude is highly unhealthy as we saw in 1947!!! Thank you…Jai HIND!” He added, “If it was written that ‘Telugu Cinema has made all of India Proud’ it would have been correct & it is so true!!!”.

Speaking of RRR, it is a fictional story set in the 1920s pre-independent era and is based on the lives of two real heroes and well-known revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While Ram Charan played Ram, NTR was seen as Bheem. The film has grossed over Rs. 1200 crore worldwide during its theatrical run.
