New Delhi: BJP national president JP Nadda is scheduled to meet national secretaries at the party office on Sunday. Meanwhile, former Union Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar are likely to get senior organisational posts in the BJP soon. Sources said the BJP is likely to announce new posts for the two leaders soon.

According to sources, these leaders may get the post of National General Secretary or Vice President in the party. At the same time, he will be given major responsibilities in the upcoming assembly elections. This will be announced by JP Nadda soon. Nadda has convened a meeting of national secretaries at the BJP headquarters in the national capital at 3 pm on Sunday to discuss the plan for the upcoming assembly elections. Before the meeting, JP Nadda postponed his two-day visit to Goa as he has other programmes in Delhi.

This was stated by Sadanand Shet Tanawade, president of the Goa unit of the same party, on Sunday. He said Nadda was scheduled to visit Goa on Monday and Tuesday and hold meetings with several party units in view of next year's state assembly elections. For the first time in PM Narendra Modi's second term, the Union Cabinet was reshuffled and expanded, with 43 leaders sworn in as ministers. The swearing-in ceremony took place at Rashtrapati Bhavan amidst corona protocol. As a result, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar were among the 12 Union Ministers who resigned from their posts in the Council of Ministers before the expansion of the Union Cabinet on July 7.
