New Delhi: RBI has released a new list of documents for bank KYC, with the help of which you can complete the work of your bank KYC. In the list released by RBI, the NPR letter is considered as a valid document for KYC verification. With the help of a valid letter by the NPR Authority, you can also complete the KYC process. You can also use this document to open a new bank account and apply for a credit card.

However, RBI has also clarified that the NPR letter is not mandatory. You can also complete the KYC process with the help of other letters. According to the new RBI directive issued in January, documents that can be used for Know Your Customer (KYC) include Aadhaar card, driving license, voter ID card, NREGA job card, and NPR letter. With the help of any one of these documents, you can complete the KYC process of your bank account.

RBI has considered this document as an officially valid document. The controversy was raised in the advertisement as an officially valid document meaning that passports, driving licenses, Aadhaar numbers, voter ID cards issued by the Election Commission of India, job cards issued under NREGA, or using the National Population Register, KYC can be used for verification.
