Dehradun: In Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain, snowfall on Tuesday and cold day across the state on Wednesday. On Monday, due to continuous rain and snowfall, not only the mountains but also the plains also caused freezing cold. Due to this, a red alert has been issued in the state. The capital including the capital was cloudy on Monday. In the plains, the weather became extremely cold with mild drizzle throughout the day. Even in the hilly areas, due to frost at night, the cold is chilling.

The Meteorological Department says that on 7 and 8 January 2020, there will be rain, hail and snowfall in Uttarakhand. The next 2 days are expected to be cold days across the state.
