In his statement, Xiaomi's India head Manu Kumar Jain has given information through tweeter that within a month one million units of Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro have been sold. Also, in the post, informing about the special features of the phone, it has been informed that under the Redmi Note series, the company has launched the world's first smartphone with the 64-megapixel quad camera setup. At the same time, it is the first smartphone in the world to use the super-fast G90T processor. Apart from this, it is India's first Alexa phone.

In the Indian market, both these smartphones are available through the flash cell on the e-commerce site Amazon India, including the company's official website. For the first time, it was made available for sale on 21 October. Looking at their price, Redmi Note 8 is available in two storage variants, the price of the 4GB + 64GB model is Rs. 9,999 and 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs. 12,999. The 6GB + 64GB model of Redmi Note 8 Pro is priced at Rs 14,999, the 6GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 15,999 and the 8GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs 17,999.
