Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is going to be introduced in China this month. The K50 series includes three devices in China namely Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 Gaming. The side-facing fingerprint scanner is also being provided in all three models. But leaks from a reliable source, Digital Chat Station, suggest that the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will have a fingerprint scanner inside the screen.
The Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is said to be a Redmi device with model number 22081212C, which has been appearing in the databases of CMIIT, 3C, TENAA and AnTuTu in recent times. This is going to be the first Redmi phone to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. Previously, the device was called by other names like Redmi K50s Pro or Redmi K50 Ultra.
The Redmi K30 Ultra has also been advertised as the Redmi K30S Commemorative Edition in 2020. Hence, it is speculated that the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is being called the Redmi K50 Ultra. On AnTuTu, the device was spotted with an impressive benchmarking score of 1,120,691.
Redmi K50 Extreme Edition Specifications: Rumors about the device have claimed that it could sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a centrally located punch-hole. It can also deliver FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also going to be offered in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configurations, the phone could be powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which could also support 120W fast charging.
Redmi K50 Extreme Edition Camera: The smartphone is going to boot into the MIUI 13-based Android 12 operating system. For a selfie, it is going to have a front camera of 20 megapixels. The rear camera setup of the device includes a 200-megapixel main camera, an 8-MP ultra-wide lens and a 2-MP macro camera.
