Kanpur: The case of kidnapping and rape of a mentally challenged minor Dalit girl in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh has come to light. Police arrested the accused youth and registered a case under IPC and POCSO Act. The girl's father also alleges that the accused youth was also pressurizing the girl to become a Muslim and was sexually abusing her for several months. The investigation also revealed that the girl is two months pregnant.
This case is of Barra area of ​​Kanpur district. A 16-year-old mentally challenged Dalit girl was kidnapped and raped several times here. Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Anand Prakash Tiwari, while talking to the media on Thursday, said that a case has been registered against a youth named Rehan (20) under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act. He has told that the girl's father has also accused Rehan of pressurizing the girl to leave Hinduism and become a Muslim and that he was physically abusing their daughter for the last several months. The accused is being taken into custody and interrogated. Tiwari said that the girl's medical test has confirmed that she is two months pregnant.
He has told that now DNA profiling will be done to strengthen the case and forensic experts have been called for this. A senior official said that Rehan was caught three days ago by the girl's family members in a compromising position, after which the accused had threatened the girl's brother that he would have to face the consequences if he complained to the police. .
