Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, crime is not taking its toll. The criminal case that has come up recently is from the Uttar Pradesh's capital when police have arrested a man for raping a minor girl several times. The accused is a relative of the victim and both live in Krishna Nagar area of Lucknow. According to sources, the accused has been arrested on the basis of a complaint by the father of the victim.

The UP police are investigating the case, the concerned Circle Officer (CO) said, adding that a case has been registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Police have not yet ascertained the identity and defence of the accused on the charges made by the parents of the victim who was the complainant in the case.
Recently, a 16-year-old girl in the Uttar Pradesh city of Sitapur was raped and raped by her teacher and four of her cousins and it has not been 48 hours since it came to light. Investigation in the case revealed that the accused minors called her to the staff room during his vacation and raped him. In her statement to the police, the minor girl said that she was sexually assaulted only because her cousins were jealous of her.
