Reliance Jio currently has 340 million data users and plans to add 500 million subscribers soon. Reliance Jio is adding 35 million new subscribers every month. In his statement, the company's chairman said during the AGM meeting, "The investment cycle of Reliance Jio has now been completed. We just have to invest in some areas now. Reliance Jio will also offer Internet of Things for Home, Enterprises Broadband, Broadband for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the country. The Internet of Things will allow people to connect to their home applications to electric meters. Jio is identifying its users and creating investment plans that make it the world's largest company.
In the telecom sector, Jio stepped in in September 2016 to offer data best voice calling to users. Before Jio's launch, users received only 1GB of data in Rs 250 for a month. After Jio arrived, users started getting 90GB of free data for three months in Rs 400. Also, unlimited free calling was available. Since then, the Indian telecom market has been revolutionized. All telecom companies reduced their plans. Many companies were closed and many companies had to merge into each other. Jio's aggressive pricing led users to get internet and calling at Rs 2 to Rs 4 per day. That's what helped Jio become the world's second-largest telecom company.
