At the recently held AGM meeting of telecom giant Reliance Jio, the company's chairman Mukesh Ambani said Jio has now become the world's second-largest telecom company. Just three years ago, how the company, which entered the telecom sector, left behind a large number of companies in such a short time. It's amazing in itself. At the 42nd AGM meeting, the company's chairman said that Jio is no longer a telecom company, it has now become a technology company. From January 1 next year, Jio IoT (Internet of Things) will launch the service across India.

For your information, Reliance Jio has invested Rs 3.5 lakh crore to improve its 4G service. With such a large scale of investment, users will get seamless data and network connectivity. The company's chairman also said that Reliance Jio has already developed 5G ready infrastructure. As soon as 5G service is turned on in India, Jio users can first get the benefit of 5G service. It is because of Reliance Jio that we can say that India has become a data-centric country. Today, a common user in India is consuming up to 100GB of data per month. Reliance Jio currently has 340 million data users and plans to add 500 million subscribers soon. Reliance Jio is adding 35 million new subscribers every month. There are still more tough challenges for other telecom companies.

In his statement, the company's chairman said during the AGM meeting, "The investment cycle of Reliance Jio has now been completed. We just have to invest in some areas now. Reliance Jio will also offer Internet of Things for Home, Enterprises Broadband, Broadband for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the country. The Internet of Things will allow people to connect to their home applications to electric meters. Jio is identifying its users and creating investment plans that make it the world's largest company.

In the telecom sector, Jio stepped in in September 2016 to offer data best voice calling to users. Before Jio's launch, users received only 1GB of data in Rs 250 for a month. After Jio arrived, users started getting 90GB of free data for three months in Rs 400. Also, unlimited free calling was available. Since then, the Indian telecom market has been revolutionized. All telecom companies reduced their plans. Many companies were closed and many companies had to merge into each other. Jio's aggressive pricing led users to get internet and calling at Rs 2 to Rs 4 per day. That's what helped Jio become the world's second-largest telecom company.
