Addverb, a leader in industrial robotics and warehouse automation, has announced its plan to launch its first humanoid robot by 2025. This ambitious move marks a significant shift as the company expands from developing mobile and fixed automation systems to incorporating advanced humanoid technology.
The company has already made notable advancements in robotics, including the introduction of "Trakr," India's first AI-powered quadruped robot. Trakr is capable of autonomous navigation, adapting to various terrains, and carrying modular payloads for maintenance and security applications.
In 2021, Reliance became a strategic investor in Addverb, accelerating its innovation efforts. This partnership has enabled Addverb to deploy cutting-edge robotic solutions across Reliance's sectors such as retail, petrochemicals, and healthcare.
The upcoming humanoid robot is set to revolutionize AI and robotics. Designed to function as an intelligent agent, the robot will process complex data from vision, audio, and touch inputs. With its dynamic algorithms, it can navigate intricate environments, perform detailed tasks, and make real-time decisions. The robot will also feature Visual and Language Action (VLA) technology, allowing it to work autonomously in dynamic environments. Its applications will span multiple industries, including warehouses, defense, and healthcare.
"Our entry into humanoid robotics is focused on eliminating '3D' jobs—Dull, Dirty, and Dangerous," said Sangeet Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of Addverb. "By using the Jio AI Platform and 5G services in collaboration with Reliance, we're developing a humanoid robot with human-like strength and dexterity. This initiative will boost India's humanoid robot presence and help spread this transformative technology globally."
Founded in 2016, Addverb provides comprehensive robotic solutions for industrial automation and warehouses. With R&D centers in India and the US, and operations in five countries, Addverb serves over 350 global clients, including Flipkart, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson.
